Procurement Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Officer to join our growing coffee shop team. This position is ideal for someone with strong sourcing and negotiation skills who can ensure the timely purchase of quality ingredients, beverages, equipment, and operational supplies. If you excel at building supplier relationships and maintaining efficient inventory levels, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and purchase coffee beans, food ingredients, beverages, packaging materials, and operational supplies.
• Identify reliable suppliers and negotiate competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchases to prevent shortages or excess stock.
• Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Verify that purchased products meet quality standards and business requirements.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, invoices, and supplier documentation.
• Work closely with kitchen, service, and management teams to forecast purchasing needs.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery or quality issues promptly.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and budget requirements.
• Research new products and suppliers to improve quality, efficiency, and cost savings.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Procurement Officer, Purchasing Officer, Buyer, or in a similar procurement role.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing procedures, inventory management, and supplier negotiations.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and inventory or procurement software.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Understanding of food and beverage procurement practices is an advantage.
• Professional integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
