Pantry Chef
Job Description
Do you enjoy creating fresh, visually appealing dishes and ensuring every plate meets high standards? We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Pantry Chef to join our restaurant team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about food preparation, organization, and delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Responsibilities
- Prepare salads, cold appetizers, sandwiches, dressings, and other pantry items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure all ingredients are properly prepared, stored, and rotated.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pantry station at all times.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during operating hours.
- Assist with menu preparation and special events when required.
- Minimize food waste and support efficient kitchen operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Pantry Chef, Garde Manger, Kitchen Assistant, or similar role in a restaurant environment.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cold kitchen operations, and presentation standards.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Culinary training or certification is an advantage.
