IT Support Officer

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and solutions-driven IT Support Officer to join our hotel team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, maintaining reliable IT systems, and ensuring staff have the technology support they need to deliver excellent guest service. Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support to hotel staff for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, telephones, and other IT equipment.
• Monitor and maintain the hotel’s network infrastructure and internet connectivity.
• Support hotel management systems, including property management software and point-of-sale systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system, software, and connectivity issues promptly.
• Perform regular system updates, backups, and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain user accounts, passwords, and access permissions.
• Assist with the setup of IT equipment for meetings, conferences, and events.
• Keep accurate records of technical issues, maintenance activities, and asset inventories.
• Work with external vendors when necessary to resolve complex technical issues.
• Ensure IT security policies and data protection procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support, help desk services, or a similar technical support role.
• Good knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking concepts, and computer hardware.
• Familiarity with property management systems, point-of-sale systems, or hotel technology is an advantage.
• Understanding of network troubleshooting, Wi-Fi management, and peripheral device configuration.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems efficiently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining system reliability.
• Professional attitude with a customer-focused approach.
