IT Support Officer

Job Description

A well-established hotel is seeking a skilled and proactive IT Support Officer to ensure the smooth operation of technology systems that support daily guest services and internal operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, maintaining reliable systems, and delivering prompt support to team members across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, servers, and peripheral devices.
• Monitor and troubleshoot wired and wireless network connectivity.
• Support hotel management systems, point-of-sale systems, and office applications.
• Perform routine system updates, backups, and security checks.
• Respond promptly to IT support requests and resolve issues efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of IT assets, support tickets, and system configurations.
• Coordinate with external vendors for equipment servicing and software maintenance.
• Assist with user account management, password resets, and access permissions.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies and data protection standards.
• Provide basic training and guidance to employees on software and technology usage.
• Recommend technology improvements that enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Diploma, degree, or professional certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience providing IT support in a hotel or customer-focused environment is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, networking, and computer hardware.
• Familiarity with hotel property management systems and POS systems is desirable.
• Understanding of network troubleshooting, cybersecurity best practices, and data backup procedures.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail.
