Groundskeeper

Job Description

We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Groundskeeper to maintain the outdoor areas of our hotel. The successful candidate will take pride in keeping gardens, walkways, lawns, and surrounding spaces clean, attractive, safe, and well maintained for guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns, gardens, flower beds, trees, shrubs, and other landscaped areas.
• Mow, trim, prune, weed, water, and fertilize plants as required.
• Keep walkways, entrances, outdoor seating areas, and surrounding grounds clean and free of debris.
• Perform basic maintenance on groundskeeping tools and equipment.
• Monitor outdoor areas for hazards, damaged fixtures, drainage issues, or maintenance concerns.
• Remove fallen leaves, branches, litter, and other unwanted materials from the property.
• Assist with planting, landscaping projects, and seasonal grounds preparation.
• Follow proper procedures when handling gardening equipment, fertilizers, and cleaning materials.
• Support other hotel departments with outdoor setup and maintenance tasks when required.
• Report significant repairs or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, gardening, or outdoor property maintenance is preferred.
• Good knowledge of basic gardening and lawn-care practices.
• Ability to operate common landscaping tools and equipment safely.
• Physically fit and comfortable performing outdoor work for extended periods.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and property presentation.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain consistent work standards.
