Food & Beverage Service Supervisor

Job Description

Our restaurant is looking for a confident and people-focused Food & Beverage Service Supervisor to help keep every shift organised, efficient, and enjoyable for both guests and staff. If you have a sharp eye for service, enjoy leading a team, and can stay calm when the restaurant gets busy, you could be a great fit for the role.

Responsibilities

• Supervise restaurant service staff and coordinate daily shifts.
• Ensure guests receive friendly, efficient, and professional service.
• Assign duties, monitor team performance, and support staff during busy periods.
• Handle guest questions, concerns, and service issues promptly.
• Monitor food and beverage presentation and service standards.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and other restaurant teams to maintain smooth service.
• Assist with staff training, onboarding, and performance development.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages or wastage to management.
• Ensure tables, service areas, and equipment are clean and properly maintained.
• Prepare shift reports and communicate important updates to management.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Previous experience in restaurant food and beverage service, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
• Strong understanding of restaurant service procedures and guest relations.
• Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
• Ability to organise multiple tasks and remain composed during busy shifts.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Professional appearance and a positive, service-focused attitude.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and basic inventory procedures is an advantage.
