Food & Beverage Service Supervisor

Job Description

A busy restaurant is seeking a confident and service-focused Food & Beverage Service Supervisor to lead the front-of-house team and ensure every guest receives an outstanding dining experience. This position is ideal for an individual with strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to maintain high service standards while supporting daily restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily front-of-house operations.
• Lead, motivate, and support service staff throughout each shift.
• Ensure guests receive prompt, friendly, and professional service.
• Monitor service quality and address guest concerns efficiently.
• Assist with staff scheduling, shift planning, and task allocation.
• Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching to improve performance.
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and presentation of dining areas.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
• Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food delivery.
• Monitor inventory of dining supplies and report replenishment needs.
• Prepare shift reports and communicate operational updates to management.
• Support the achievement of sales targets and customer satisfaction goals.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Food & Beverage Supervisor, Restaurant Supervisor, or in a similar leadership role within a restaurant.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to remain organised and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Sound understanding of restaurant service standards and dining etiquette.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Experience handling cash, POS systems, and basic administrative tasks is an advantage.
