Food & Beverage Service Supervisor

Job Description

A well-established restaurant is looking for a confident and service-focused Food & Beverage Service Supervisor to lead front-of-house operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys motivating a team, maintaining exceptional service standards, and ensuring guests receive a memorable dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily food and beverage service operations.
• Lead, train, and motivate service staff to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
• Ensure compliance with service standards, hygiene practices, and health and safety regulations.
• Monitor staff performance and provide coaching to improve productivity and service quality.
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally and promptly.
• Assist with staff scheduling and shift coordination.
• Monitor inventory levels of service supplies and report replenishment needs.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth communication and timely service.
• Support opening and closing procedures, including cash handling where required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising food and beverage service in a restaurant or similar dining establishment.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Sound knowledge of restaurant service procedures and food safety standards.
• Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications is an advantage.
• Professional appearance with a customer-focused attitude.
• Food safety or supervisory certifications are an added advantage.
