Job Description
In a busy kitchen, timing is everything, and that is exactly where you come in. We are looking for a sharp, calm, and highly organised Expediter to act as the vital link between the kitchen team and front-of-house service. If you enjoy fast-paced environments and take pride in making sure every plate leaves the pass looking and tasting perfect, this role will feel like second nature.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and organise food orders as they come out of the kitchen
- Ensure dishes are complete, accurate, and presented to standard before serving
- Communicate clearly between chefs and service staff to keep timing smooth
- Prioritise orders during peak hours to maintain efficiency
- Monitor consistency, portioning, and plating quality
- Help reduce delays and keep service flowing during busy periods
- Support the kitchen team with real-time updates and adjustments
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and ability to stay focused under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in giving clear instructions
- Good organisational instincts and quick decision-making ability
- Understanding of kitchen workflow and order sequencing
- A calm, steady presence during high-volume service
