Duty Manager

Job Description

A well-established hotel committed to delivering efficient service, comfortable stays, and memorable guest experiences is seeking a confident and organised Duty Manager to oversee daily operations and support every department during assigned shifts. The successful candidate will lead with professionalism, respond quickly to operational needs, and ensure guests and staff receive excellent service throughout their stay.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hotel operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth coordination between departments.
• Supervise front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and other operational teams.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and resolve issues promptly.
• Monitor service standards, safety procedures, and hotel policies.
• Coordinate responses to emergencies and operational challenges.
• Conduct shift briefings and communicate important updates to relevant teams.
• Review daily reports, incidents, and operational activities.
• Support staff performance and provide guidance when required.
• Ensure guest areas and facilities maintain appropriate standards.
• Prepare accurate handover reports for incoming management teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2 to 4 years of supervisory or management experience in a hotel environment.
• Strong knowledge of hotel operations and guest service procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
• Good organisational and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency with hotel management systems and standard office software.
