Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Coffee Roaster to join our coffee shop team. The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee, understands the roasting process, and takes pride in bringing out the best flavors in every batch. You will play a key role in ensuring consistency, quality, and freshness across our coffee offerings.

Responsibilities

• Roast coffee beans according to established profiles and quality standards
• Monitor roast times, temperatures, and airflow to achieve desired flavor outcomes
• Evaluate green coffee beans and adjust roast parameters as needed
• Conduct regular cupping sessions to assess flavor, aroma, and body
• Maintain roasting equipment and ensure it is clean and functioning properly
• Record roast data and maintain accurate batch logs
• Work closely with the team to align roast profiles with customer preferences
• Ensure proper storage and handling of green and roasted beans

Qualifications

• Proven experience in coffee roasting or strong hands-on knowledge of roasting techniques
• Understanding of roast profiles, bean origins, and flavor development
• Familiarity with roasting equipment and basic maintenance practices
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across batches
• Good sensory skills for tasting and evaluating coffee quality
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Passion for specialty coffee and willingness to learn and improve continuously
• Team-oriented mindset with clear communication skills
