A busy restaurant is looking for a dependable and motivated Shift Leader to oversee daily operations, support team members, and ensure every guest enjoys excellent service. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and is committed to maintaining high operational standards throughout every shift.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise team members during assigned shifts.
• Ensure smooth restaurant operations from opening to closing.
• Monitor food quality, presentation, and service standards.
• Assign duties and provide guidance to employees throughout the shift.
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve concerns professionally.
• Support the training and development of new team members.
• Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and report stock shortages.
• Assist with cash handling and end-of-shift reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and operational procedures.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to maintain efficient workflow.
• Prepare shift reports and communicate operational updates to management.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a restaurant.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Strong customer service mindset with a problem-solving approach.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Proficiency in handling cash and basic point-of-sale systems.
• Reliable, responsible, and committed to maintaining high service standards.
