Sanitation Officer

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Sanitation Officer to help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety throughout our hotel. This role is essential in creating a clean, healthy, and welcoming environment for guests and employees. Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across all hotel areas.
• Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, kitchens, laundry facilities, and staff areas.
• Ensure cleaning procedures comply with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Train and guide employees on proper sanitation practices and the correct use of cleaning products.
• Maintain adequate stock levels of cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and sanitation supplies.
• Prepare sanitation schedules and ensure they are followed consistently.
• Investigate sanitation issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Dispose of waste safely and ensure recycling procedures are followed where applicable.
• Keep accurate sanitation records, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.
• Work closely with housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance teams to maintain a safe environment.
• Support health and safety audits and assist with regulatory inspections.
• Promote a culture of cleanliness and continuous improvement throughout the hotel.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in sanitation, environmental services, housekeeping supervision, or a similar role within a hotel or related environment.
• Strong understanding of sanitation procedures, cleaning methods, and hygiene best practices.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and infection prevention standards.
• Ability to use cleaning equipment and handle sanitation chemicals safely.
• Excellent observation and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Physical ability to inspect multiple areas and perform duties requiring standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
• Professional attitude with a strong commitment to cleanliness, safety, and service excellence.
