Reservations Officer

Job Description

We are looking for a highly organised and customer-focused Reservations Officer to join our restaurant. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating positive first impressions, managing bookings efficiently, and ensuring every guest receives exceptional service from the moment they make a reservation. You will play an important role in coordinating reservations, supporting front-of-house operations, and helping deliver a seamless dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage telephone, online, and walk-in reservation requests accurately.
• Maintain and update the restaurant’s reservation system.
• Confirm bookings and communicate reservation details with guests.
• Coordinate seating arrangements with the front-of-house team.
• Handle reservation changes, cancellations, and special requests professionally.
• Monitor reservation schedules to maximise table availability.
• Welcome guests warmly when required and assist with seating during busy periods.
• Provide accurate information about menu offerings, operating hours, and restaurant services.
• Resolve guest enquiries and concerns courteously and efficiently.
• Prepare daily reservation reports and maintain organised booking records.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in reservations, front desk, guest services, or a customer-facing role in a restaurant or similar environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using reservation software and standard computer applications.
• Ability to multitask and remain composed during busy service periods.
• Friendly, professional, and customer-oriented attitude.
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
• Team player with a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences.
