Quality Control Officer

Job Description

A restaurant committed to delivering outstanding food quality and exceptional dining experiences is looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control Officer to join the team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about maintaining high standards, ensuring food safety, and supporting operational excellence. You will work closely with kitchen and service teams to monitor quality, improve processes, and help create a consistently positive experience for every guest.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of food preparation, storage, and serving processes to ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Monitor compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
• Inspect incoming ingredients and supplies to verify freshness and quality.
• Identify quality issues and recommend corrective actions to management.
• Maintain accurate quality control records, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.
• Work with kitchen and restaurant teams to improve operational standards.
• Ensure proper food handling, storage temperatures, and cleanliness throughout the restaurant.
• Assist with staff training on quality assurance and food safety best practices.
• Investigate customer complaints related to food quality and recommend preventive measures.
• Support internal audits and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Food Science, Quality Management, Hospitality Management, Microbiology, or a related field.
• Previous experience in quality control, food safety, or quality assurance within a restaurant or food service environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and observational skills.
• Ability to prepare clear reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and digital record-keeping tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
