Quality Control Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor food and beverage quality to ensure consistency and compliance with established standards.
• Conduct routine inspections of kitchen, storage, and service areas.
• Verify that hygiene, sanitation, and food safety procedures are consistently followed.
• Inspect incoming ingredients and supplies to ensure they meet quality requirements.
• Maintain accurate quality control records, inspection reports, and corrective action logs.
• Work closely with kitchen and service teams to address quality concerns and implement improvements.
• Assist in developing and updating quality assurance procedures and checklists.
• Support staff training on quality standards, food safety, and best practices.
• Investigate customer complaints related to product quality and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Hospitality Management, Quality Assurance, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in quality control, food safety, or quality assurance within a café, restaurant, hotel, or food production environment.
• Strong understanding of food safety principles, hygiene standards, and quality management systems.
• Excellent observation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in record-keeping and preparing inspection reports.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Good organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
