well-established hotel is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Officer to oversee the procurement of goods and services that support daily operations. This role is ideal for someone who can build strong supplier relationships, negotiate competitive pricing, and ensure the timely delivery of quality products while maintaining cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain quality products at competitive prices.
• Process purchase requests and prepare purchase orders in a timely manner.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment with relevant departments.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with approved vendors.
• Compare quotations and recommend the most cost-effective purchasing options.
• Ensure purchased items meet required quality standards and specifications.
• Track deliveries and resolve issues related to delays, shortages, or damaged goods.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, invoices, and supplier documentation.
• Support inventory audits and assist with stock control procedures.
• Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and budget requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Purchasing Officer, Procurement Officer, or in a similar purchasing role, preferably within a hotel or related industry.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
• Good understanding of procurement processes, inventory control, and purchasing best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing or inventory management software.
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to analyse pricing, prepare reports, and manage multiple priorities.
• Sound problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Professional integrity and a commitment to maintaining accurate procurement records.
