Responsibilities

• Welcome customers warmly and take food and beverage orders accurately.
• Answer customer questions about menu items, ingredients, and daily specials.
• Enter orders into the point-of-sale system promptly and correctly.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and service team to ensure timely order preparation.
• Process cash, card, and digital payments accurately.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
• Keep the ordering counter clean, organized, and well stocked.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and cafe operating procedures.
• Assist with packaging takeaway orders and verifying order accuracy before handing them to customers.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Order Taker, Cashier, Customer Service Assistant, or in a similar cafe or food service role is an advantage.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm during busy service periods.
• Basic computer and point-of-sale system knowledge.
• Good numerical skills and attention to detail when handling orders and payments.
• Professional appearance and a positive attitude.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to delivering outstanding customer service.
