Order Taker

Do you enjoy creating positive customer experiences and thrive in a fast-paced coffee shop environment? We are looking for a friendly, attentive, and organized Order Taker to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring every order is taken accurately while providing warm and efficient service.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Answer questions about menu items, beverages, and daily specials.
• Process payments using the point-of-sale system.
• Communicate customer orders clearly to the preparation team.
• Verify completed orders before serving or handing them to customers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization around the ordering and service areas.
• Restock menus, takeaway supplies, and other front counter essentials.
• Handle customer concerns courteously and escalate issues when necessary.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and cash handling procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service, retail, or a coffee shop is an advantage.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and efficient during busy periods.
• Basic computer or point-of-sale system knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when taking orders.
• Good numerical skills for handling payments and providing change.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
