Marketing Assistant

Job Description

A vibrant cafe is looking for a creative and motivated Marketing Assistant to help promote its brand, attract new customers, and strengthen customer engagement. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for marketing, strong communication skills, and the ability to support campaigns across digital and traditional channels. You will work closely with the management team to execute marketing initiatives that enhance the cafe’s visibility and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
• Create engaging content for social media platforms and marketing materials.
• Monitor social media accounts and respond to customer enquiries and comments.
• Support the development of email marketing campaigns and newsletters.
• Coordinate promotional events, seasonal campaigns, and in-store marketing activities.
• Conduct market research to identify customer trends and competitor activities.
• Help maintain the cafe’s online presence, including website updates where required.
• Track campaign performance and prepare basic marketing reports.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent brand messaging.
• Perform other marketing and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience in marketing, communications, digital marketing, or a related role within a cafe, restaurant, retail, or customer-focused environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation tools.
• Basic knowledge of digital marketing principles, including email marketing and social media management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative mindset with excellent attention to detail.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic graphic design tools is an advantage.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude, adaptability, and eagerness to learn.
