Maintenance Manager

Job Description

A well-established hotel is seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Manager to oversee all building systems and ensure the property remains safe, functional, and welcoming for guests and staff. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, leading a technical team, and keeping operations running smoothly behind the scenes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily maintenance operations across the hotel, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and facilities
• Respond quickly to maintenance issues and ensure minimal disruption to guests
• Lead and train maintenance staff, assigning tasks and monitoring performance
• Monitor inventory of tools, parts, and supplies, and request replacements when needed
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety standards and hotel policies
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or installations
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel or facility maintenance, preferably in a supervisory role
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.)
• Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and maintenance schedules
• Good leadership and team coordination skills
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
• Basic computer skills for reporting and record keeping
• Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergencies when required
• Relevant technical certification or training is an advantage
