Lounge Manager

Job Description

We are looking for an organised, confident, and people-focused Lounge Manager to lead the daily operations of our bar and create an enjoyable experience for every guest. The successful candidate will oversee the team, maintain service standards, support revenue growth, and ensure the lounge operates smoothly during both busy and quieter periods.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the lounge and bar floor.
• Lead, train, schedule, and motivate bar and service staff.
• Monitor customer service and ensure consistently high service standards.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily records.
• Manage stock levels, ordering, storage, and inventory checks.
• Coordinate with bartenders, servers, kitchen staff, and other team members.
• Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and service concerns professionally.
• Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to improve revenue.
• Ensure the bar, lounge, equipment, and service areas remain clean and well maintained.
• Enforce workplace, food safety, alcohol service, and operational policies.
• Assist with promotions, events, and special occasions hosted at the bar.
• Prepare operational reports and communicate key updates to senior management.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous management or supervisory experience in a bar, lounge, restaurant, or similar setting.
• Strong knowledge of bar operations, customer service, stock control, and cash management.
• Excellent leadership and team-building abilities.
• Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in a busy bar environment.
• Good understanding of sales targets, cost control, and basic financial reporting.
• Professional appearance and a guest-focused approach.
