Lifeguard

Job Description

We are looking for a vigilant and responsible Lifeguard to join our hotel team and oversee pool safety while delivering attentive service to guests of all ages. The successful candidate will be confident in responding to emergencies, enforcing pool rules, and maintaining a clean and secure swimming environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the hotel pool area continuously to ensure guest safety.
• Enforce pool rules and safety procedures in a professional manner.
• Respond quickly and appropriately to accidents, injuries, and emergencies.
• Perform rescue and first-aid procedures when required.
• Conduct routine checks of pool equipment and surrounding areas.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, and safety activities.
• Warn guests of unsafe behaviour and take appropriate corrective action.
• Assist with maintaining a clean, orderly, and hazard-free pool environment.
• Communicate effectively with hotel guests and other team members.
• Report maintenance concerns, hazards, or safety issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Current lifeguard certification from a recognised training provider.
• Valid certification in CPR, first aid, and basic water rescue.
• Strong swimming and water rescue abilities.
• Previous lifeguarding or pool safety experience, preferably in a hotel, resort, leisure centre, or similar setting.
• Excellent observation, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Physically fit and capable of responding effectively to emergencies.
• Calm, responsible, and professional under pressure.
