Job Description

We are looking for a responsible and attentive Lifeguard to join our hotel pool team. You will be the first line of safety for guests using the pool while creating a friendly and reassuring environment for swimmers of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the hotel pool and surrounding areas at all times.
• Respond quickly and appropriately to swimmers in distress or emergencies.
• Enforce pool safety rules in a polite and professional manner.
• Perform routine checks of pool areas and safety equipment.
• Provide basic first aid and emergency assistance when required.
• Keep the pool deck clean, organised, and free from hazards.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, and safety checks.
• Communicate clearly with guests and other hotel team members.
• Report damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, or maintenance concerns promptly.

Qualifications

• Valid Lifeguard certification from a recognised training organisation.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Previous lifeguarding or pool safety experience is preferred.
• Strong swimming ability and confidence in water rescue techniques.
• Good observation, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to remain calm and focused during emergencies.
• Physically fit and capable of responding quickly when needed.
• A friendly, responsible, and guest-focused attitude.
