Job Description

Help create a safe and enjoyable pool experience by keeping a watchful eye on guests, responding confidently to emergencies, and maintaining high safety standards. We are looking for a responsible and attentive Lifeguard to join our hotel pool team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the pool area continuously and identify potential safety risks.
• Enforce pool rules and ensure guests follow established safety procedures.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and provide appropriate first aid when required.
• Perform regular checks of pool equipment, surrounding areas, and safety facilities.
• Maintain clear visibility of swimmers and act quickly when assistance is needed.
• Assist guests with basic pool-related enquiries and safety concerns.
• Keep accurate records of incidents, inspections, and routine safety checks.
• Communicate effectively with hotel staff during emergencies or unusual situations.
• Help keep the pool deck and surrounding areas orderly and free from hazards.
• Participate in emergency drills and ongoing safety training.

Qualifications

• Current lifeguard certification from a recognised training organisation.
• Valid first aid and CPR certification.
• Strong swimming ability and confidence in performing water rescues.
• Previous lifeguard experience in a hotel, resort, swimming facility, or similar environment is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of pool safety procedures and emergency response practices.
• Excellent observation skills and the ability to remain focused for extended periods.
• Calm, responsible, and confident when handling emergency situations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically capable of performing rescue and emergency-response duties.
