Job Description

Join our hotel team as a Lifeguard and play an important role in creating a safe, enjoyable, and welcoming pool environment for guests of all ages. We are looking for a vigilant, responsible, and customer-focused professional who can respond confidently to emergencies, enforce pool safety regulations, and provide excellent guest service while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all activities in and around the hotel pool to ensure guest safety.
• Monitor swimmers and identify potential hazards before they become emergencies.
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, including water rescues and first aid situations.
• Enforce pool rules and safety guidelines in a courteous and professional manner.
• Conduct routine inspections of the pool area, equipment, and safety devices.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pool deck and surrounding areas.
• Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or incidents promptly.
• Keep accurate records of incidents, inspections, and daily pool activities.
• Assist guests with enquiries and provide friendly, professional service.
• Support opening and closing procedures for the pool facility.

Qualifications

• Valid Lifeguard Certification from a recognised training organisation.
• Current First Aid and CPR/AED certification.
• Previous experience as a lifeguard in a hotel, resort, fitness centre, or recreational facility is an advantage.
• Strong swimming and water rescue skills.
• Excellent observation, communication, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and act quickly during emergencies.
• Professional appearance with a strong commitment to guest safety.
