Job Description

A well-maintained hotel pool relies on skilled professionals who can create a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for every guest. We are looking for a vigilant and responsible Lifeguard to join our hotel team. This role is ideal for someone who is confident in water safety, responds quickly in emergencies, and is committed to delivering excellent guest service while maintaining the highest safety standards around the pool area.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all activities in and around the hotel pool to ensure guest safety.
• Enforce pool rules and safety regulations in a professional manner.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, providing first aid or CPR when required.
• Conduct routine inspections of pool equipment, rescue gear, and surrounding facilities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free pool environment.
• Record incidents, accidents, and daily pool activities accurately.
• Assist guests with general pool-related inquiries and provide courteous service.
• Report maintenance issues, unsafe conditions, or damaged equipment immediately.
• Support pool opening and closing procedures.
• Work closely with other hotel departments to ensure a safe and enjoyable guest experience.

Qualifications

• Valid Lifeguard certification from a recognized training organization.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Previous experience as a lifeguard, preferably in a hotel, resort, or recreational facility.
• Strong swimming, rescue, and emergency response skills.
• Good knowledge of pool safety regulations and emergency procedures.
• Excellent observation skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Physically fit and capable of performing water rescues when necessary.
