Job Description

A well-established restaurant is looking for a dependable and hardworking Kitchen Steward to help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient back-of-house operation. This role is essential to supporting the kitchen team by ensuring that equipment, utensils, and work areas remain spotless while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety. Key Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Keep kitchen floors, walls, storage areas, and workstations clean and organized.
• Remove waste and recyclables promptly while maintaining a hygienic environment.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and notify management when stock is running low.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing kitchen deliveries.
• Support chefs and kitchen staff with basic preparation and cleaning tasks as required.
• Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace health regulations at all times.
• Help maintain an orderly kitchen environment during busy service periods.
• Perform deep-cleaning duties according to scheduled cleaning plans.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward, Dishwasher, or in a similar kitchen support role is an advantage.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods and lifting kitchen supplies when required.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and organization.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
