Kitchen Porter

Job Description

We are looking for a dependable Kitchen Porter who takes pride in maintaining high cleanliness standards and supporting the kitchen team throughout daily operations. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, are reliable, and have a positive attitude, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitise dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
• Keep kitchen floors, workstations, storage areas, and waste disposal areas clean and organised.
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation when required.
• Receive and store deliveries following food safety procedures.
• Remove rubbish and recycling promptly while maintaining a tidy work environment.
• Refill cleaning supplies and notify supervisors when stock is running low.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar back-of-house role is an advantage.
• Good understanding of kitchen hygiene and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy restaurant environment.
• Physically capable of standing for extended periods and handling manual tasks.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn.
• Food safety knowledge or relevant certification is an added advantage.
