Key Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly.
• Keep kitchen workstations, storage areas, and floors clean and sanitized.
• Dispose of waste and recycling according to established procedures.
• Assist with receiving, checking, and storing food and kitchen supplies.
• Help with basic food preparation tasks when required.
• Refill cleaning supplies and maintain stock of essential kitchen items.
• Support chefs with general kitchen duties during busy service periods.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures at all times.
• Clean kitchen appliances and equipment after use.
• Report damaged equipment or maintenance issues to the appropriate supervisor.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar back-of-house role is an advantage but not essential.
• Good understanding of kitchen hygiene and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting kitchen supplies when required.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
• Ability to follow instructions carefully and work with minimal supervision.
