IT Support Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support to hotel staff for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
• Monitor hotel networks, servers, and internet connectivity to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system outages with minimal disruption to operations.
• Support hotel management systems, point-of-sale systems, and office productivity applications.
• Perform routine software updates, backups, and system maintenance.
• Maintain IT inventory and keep accurate records of hardware and software assets.
• Assist in implementing cybersecurity measures and enforcing data protection policies.
• Coordinate with external vendors for equipment servicing and specialized technical support.
• Train employees on basic IT procedures and best practices.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience in IT support, help desk, or systems administration; hospitality experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, networking fundamentals, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with hotel management systems, POS systems, or property management software is desirable.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, backups, and data recovery procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or Cisco certifications are an advantage.
