We are looking for a highly organized Inventory Controller who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining accurate stock records, and ensuring ingredients and supplies are always available when needed. This role is ideal for someone who values accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork while contributing to the daily success of a busy restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily inventory levels for food, beverages, packaging, and operational supplies.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders and invoices.
• Record stock movements accurately using inventory management systems.
• Conduct routine stock counts and reconcile discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain organized storage areas following food safety and stock rotation standards.
• Track product usage and identify slow-moving, excess, or low-stock items.
• Work closely with kitchen, purchasing, and management teams to forecast inventory needs.
• Prepare inventory, wastage, and stock valuation reports.
• Investigate inventory variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure proper documentation of all stock transactions and supplier deliveries.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Inventory Controller, Storekeeper, Stock Controller, or in a similar inventory management role within a restaurant or food service environment.
• Strong understanding of inventory control procedures and stock management principles.
• Proficiency in inventory software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and record-keeping skills.
• High level of accuracy with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet reporting deadlines.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with food safety practices, stock rotation methods, and inventory audits.
• Ability to lift and move stock when required.
• Professional integrity and a dependable work ethic.
