Our coffee shop is looking for a personable and attentive Hostess to become the welcoming face of our front-of-house team. The successful candidate will help create a pleasant experience from the moment guests arrive, ensuring they feel acknowledged, comfortable, and well cared for throughout their visit. Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements.
• Manage guest flow and maintain an organised reception area.
• Provide menus and explain available seating options when required.
• Monitor tables and communicate guest needs to the service team.
• Answer basic questions about menu items, opening hours, and coffee shop services.
• Coordinate with baristas and servers to support smooth daily operations.
• Handle guest requests promptly and courteously.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and inviting front-of-house area.
• Assist with reservations, waiting lists, and guest enquiries where applicable.
• Represent the coffee shop with a professional and friendly attitude.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience as a hostess, receptionist, server, or customer-facing role is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confident, approachable, and professional manner.
• Ability to remain calm and organised during busy periods.
• Good attention to detail and a service-focused mindset.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
