In this role, you will greet guests warmly, manage seating arrangements, and help create an enjoyable dining experience from the moment customers arrive until they leave. Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a warm and professional attitude.
- Manage reservations, waiting lists, and guest seating efficiently.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus when required.
- Communicate wait times accurately and keep guests informed.
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth table turnover.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve minor concerns professionally.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting entrance and waiting area.
- Answer telephone calls and assist with booking inquiries.
- Support the café team during busy periods as needed.
- Uphold excellent customer service standards at all times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a host, receptionist, or in a customer service or hospitality role is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and efficient during busy service periods.
- Basic computer or point-of-sale (POS) system knowledge is desirable.
