Job Description

A vibrant and well-loved restaurant is looking for a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. You will take charge of daily kitchen operations, shape our menu direction, and ensure every plate that leaves the kitchen meets the highest standards of taste and presentation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise all kitchen staff and daily food preparation
  • Design and update menu offerings with creativity and seasonal inspiration
  • Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and cost control
  • Maintain strict hygiene, safety, and food sanitation standards
  • Train, mentor, and support junior kitchen staff
  • Coordinate smoothly with restaurant management and front-of-house teams

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a busy restaurant
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team
  • Excellent knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
  • Good understanding of food cost control and inventory management
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Formal culinary training is an advantage but not mandatory with strong experience
