Head Barista

Job Description

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Head Barista to lead our coffee bar team and shape the daily coffee experience for our customers. This role is perfect for someone who doesn’t just make coffee, but lives and breathes it, with a strong eye for quality, consistency, and customer connection. You will take ownership of the coffee station, guide junior baristas, and ensure every cup served meets a high standard that keeps customers coming back.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily coffee bar operations and workflow
• Prepare high-quality espresso-based and specialty drinks
• Train, supervise, and support barista team members
• Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and speed of service
• Manage coffee inventory, beans, and equipment upkeep
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are always met
• Create a welcoming and engaging customer experience
• Assist in developing seasonal drinks and menu ideas

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a barista, preferably in a senior or lead role
• Strong knowledge of espresso extraction, milk texturing, and brewing methods
• Ability to train and motivate a small team
• Good understanding of coffee beans, blends, and grind settings
• Strong attention to detail and consistency under pressure
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends
• Passion for coffee culture and continuous learning
