Job Description

We are a well-maintained hotel committed to providing guests with a pleasant and well-presented environment from arrival through departure. Our grounds play an important role in the overall guest experience, and we are looking for a dependable Groundskeeper to maintain outdoor areas, landscaped spaces, walkways, and surrounding facilities to a consistently high standard.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns, gardens, flower beds, trees, shrubs, and other landscaped areas.
• Mow, trim, prune, weed, water, and fertilise plants as required.
• Keep outdoor walkways, entrances, parking areas, and recreational spaces clean and orderly.
• Collect leaves, branches, litter, and other outdoor waste.
• Operate and maintain gardening and groundskeeping tools safely.
• Monitor plants and outdoor areas for signs of pests, disease, or damage.
• Assist with planting, landscaping projects, and seasonal maintenance.
• Report damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, or maintenance concerns promptly.
• Support general outdoor maintenance tasks around the hotel when required.
• Follow health, safety, and environmental procedures while carrying out daily duties.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in groundskeeping, gardening, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance is preferred.
• Good knowledge of basic gardening and plant-care practices.
• Ability to operate common landscaping tools and equipment safely.
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors for extended periods.
• Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, attractive surroundings.
• Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures.
