Groundskeeper

Job Description

Our hotel is seeking a dependable and hardworking Groundskeeper to maintain the outdoor areas of our property to the highest standards. If you take pride in creating clean, safe, and attractive surroundings while enjoying hands-on outdoor work, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns by mowing, edging, trimming, and watering as needed.
• Care for gardens, trees, shrubs, flowers, and other landscaped areas.
• Remove weeds, leaves, litter, and debris from all outdoor spaces.
• Keep pathways, entrances, parking areas, and outdoor facilities clean and safe.
• Operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment responsibly.
• Apply mulch, fertilizers, and other landscaping materials when required.
• Monitor irrigation systems and report faults promptly.
• Assist with seasonal planting and landscape improvement projects.
• Identify and report outdoor maintenance or safety concerns.
• Support the maintenance team with general exterior upkeep when needed.
• Follow health and safety procedures while carrying out daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, gardening, or property maintenance is preferred.
• Good knowledge of lawn care, plant maintenance, and landscape upkeep.
• Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and efficiently.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual outdoor work for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable, proactive, and willing to work in varying weather conditions.
• Basic understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
