Groundskeeper

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and dependable Groundskeeper to help maintain the outdoor spaces of our hotel. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in creating clean, attractive, and welcoming surroundings. You will play an important part in ensuring gardens, pathways, lawns, and exterior areas are always well maintained and presentable for guests and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns through mowing, edging, watering, and fertilizing.
• Plant, prune, and care for trees, shrubs, flowers, and landscaped areas.
• Keep walkways, entrances, parking areas, and outdoor facilities clean and free of debris.
• Inspect outdoor spaces regularly and report maintenance issues.
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and gardening tools safely.
• Apply appropriate pest and weed control methods when required.
• Assist with seasonal landscaping projects and outdoor improvements.
• Remove leaves, litter, and other waste from hotel grounds.
• Support the maintenance team with exterior cleaning and minor repairs as needed.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Groundskeeper, Gardener, Landscaper, or in a similar outdoor maintenance role is preferred.
• Good knowledge of lawn care, plant maintenance, and landscaping techniques.
• Ability to operate landscaping machinery and hand tools safely.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Good time management and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of irrigation systems is an advantage.
• Dependable, hardworking, and committed to delivering excellent results.
