Job Description

A well-maintained hotel begins with beautiful outdoor spaces, and we are looking for a dedicated Groundskeeper to help create an attractive, safe, and welcoming environment for every guest. If you enjoy working outdoors, take pride in maintaining landscapes, and have a strong eye for detail, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Mow lawns, trim hedges, and maintain landscaped areas.
• Plant, water, fertilise, and care for flowers, shrubs, and trees.
• Keep pathways, driveways, entrances, and outdoor seating areas clean and tidy.
• Remove weeds, fallen leaves, litter, and other outdoor debris.
• Operate and maintain gardening tools and landscaping equipment safely.
• Monitor irrigation systems and report any faults.
• Assist with seasonal planting and landscaping projects.
• Apply basic pest and weed control methods where required.
• Report damaged outdoor fixtures, fencing, lighting, or irrigation equipment.
• Follow health and safety procedures while carrying out grounds maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, gardening, or a similar outdoor maintenance role is preferred.
• Good knowledge of lawn care, plant maintenance, and gardening techniques.
• Ability to safely operate landscaping tools and equipment.
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, hardworking, and dependable.
