Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Grillardin to join our restaurant kitchen and take responsibility for preparing perfectly grilled meats, seafood, vegetables, and other menu items while maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, and food safety. Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook grilled menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Monitor grill temperatures and ensure all food is cooked to the correct doneness.
• Season, marinate, and prepare ingredients before service.
• Coordinate with other kitchen sections to ensure timely food delivery.
• Inspect ingredients for freshness and quality before use.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station throughout each shift.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Minimise food waste through proper portion control and stock rotation.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and managing inventory for the grill section.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods and special events.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Grillardin, Grill Cook, or in a similar kitchen role within a restaurant.
• Excellent knowledge of grilling techniques, temperatures, and cooking times.
• Ability to prepare a variety of meat, seafood, poultry, and vegetable dishes.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining consistency.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Team-oriented with effective communication skills.
