Job Description

Our restaurant is seeking a skilled and passionate Grillardin to join our kitchen team. The Grillardin will take charge of the grill station, preparing high-quality meats, poultry, seafood, vegetables, and other grilled specialities while maintaining excellent taste, presentation, and consistency. The ideal candidate is confident working in a fast-paced restaurant, understands proper grilling techniques, and takes pride in delivering dishes to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meat, poultry, seafood, vegetables, and other items on the grill.
• Monitor cooking temperatures and timing to achieve the required level of doneness.
• Prepare marinades, seasonings, sauces, and accompaniments for grilled dishes.
• Maintain consistent portion sizes, presentation, and food quality.
• Keep the grill station clean, organised, and properly stocked throughout service.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and kitchen sanitation standards.
• Coordinate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
• Inspect ingredients for freshness and report quality concerns promptly.
• Control food waste and use ingredients efficiently.
• Clean and maintain grills, utensils, and kitchen equipment after service.

Qualifications

• Culinary diploma, professional cookery qualification, or equivalent practical training.
• Proven experience as a Grillardin, Grill Cook, Line Cook, or in a similar restaurant kitchen role.
• Strong knowledge of grilling techniques, temperatures, and food safety practices.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods.
• Excellent attention to detail and consistency.
• Good teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
• Physical stamina to remain active for extended kitchen shifts.
• A passion for quality food and professional kitchen standards.
