Floor Supervisor

Job Description

A well established hotel is looking for a proactive and service driven Floor Supervisor to oversee daily housekeeping operations and maintain exceptional cleanliness throughout guest rooms and public areas. This position is ideal for an organised leader who enjoys motivating teams, maintaining high standards, and ensuring every guest experiences a comfortable and welcoming stay.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff.
• Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are consistently met.
• Assign work schedules and distribute daily tasks efficiently.
• Train, mentor, and support team members to improve performance and service quality.
• Monitor housekeeping supplies and report inventory shortages.
• Ensure all cleaning procedures comply with health, safety, and hotel standards.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve housekeeping related concerns professionally.
• Coordinate with the front office and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are prepared on time.
• Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate housekeeping records.
• Assist with onboarding new team members and conducting routine performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping, with supervisory experience in a hotel preferred.
• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field is an advantage.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain high attention to detail and quality standards.
• Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning products, and safety regulations.
