Floor Supervisor

Job Description

A well-established hotel is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Floor Supervisor to help maintain exceptional housekeeping standards and ensure guests enjoy a clean, comfortable, and welcoming stay. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and takes pride in delivering outstanding service while supporting the housekeeping team.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of room attendants and housekeeping staff.
• Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure quality standards are met.
• Assign daily work schedules and monitor task completion.
• Report maintenance issues and follow up on repairs.
• Ensure housekeeping supplies, linens, and amenities are adequately stocked.
• Support the training and onboarding of new housekeeping team members.
• Address guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related concerns professionally.
• Maintain accurate housekeeping records and inspection reports.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and cleanliness procedures.
• Work closely with the Front Office and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping, with supervisory experience in a hotel preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with housekeeping procedures, cleaning standards, and safety practices.
• Proficiency in using basic computer applications for reporting and scheduling is an advantage.
