Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all kitchen operations, ensuring smooth daily service.
• Develop innovative menus that align with the restaurant’s concept and customer preferences.
• Maintain exceptional food quality, taste, and presentation standards.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to build a high-performing team.
• Oversee food preparation, portion control, and recipe consistency.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing to minimize waste and control costs.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Manage kitchen budgets, labour scheduling, and operational expenses.
• Collaborate with management on seasonal promotions and special events.
• Resolve kitchen challenges efficiently while maintaining a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Executive Chef, Head Chef, or in a senior culinary leadership role within a restaurant.
• Professional culinary training or a recognised qualification in Culinary Arts, Professional Cookery, or a related field.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and team management skills.
• Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, menu planning, and kitchen operations.
• Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Experience managing food costs, inventory, and kitchen budgets.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for culinary excellence.
