A busy restaurant is looking for a talented and organized Entremetier to join its kitchen team. This role is ideal for a chef with a passion for preparing exceptional vegetable dishes, soups, starches, and egg-based recipes while maintaining outstanding quality and consistency. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook vegetables, legumes, rice, pasta, potatoes, and other starch-based dishes.
• Create a variety of soups, broths, and vegetarian menu items to the required standards.
• Prepare egg dishes and ensure all items are cooked and presented consistently.
• Assist with daily mise en place and ensure ingredients are prepared before service.
• Monitor food quality, freshness, and portion control throughout service.
• Follow recipes and plating guidelines to maintain consistency.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned kitchen section.
• Store ingredients correctly and minimize food waste.
• Comply with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Support the wider kitchen team during busy service periods.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Entremetier or in a similar kitchen position within a restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of vegetable preparation, soups, starches, and egg cookery.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen sanitation practices.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow recipes and standard operating procedures accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Culinary training or relevant professional certification is an advantage.
