Job Description

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook vegetables, soups, starches, egg dishes, and other assigned side dishes to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure all ingredients are prepared, stored, and rotated according to food safety procedures.
• Coordinate with other kitchen sections to ensure timely service during busy periods.
• Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate ingredient requirements to the kitchen leadership team.
• Minimize food waste through efficient preparation and inventory management.
• Keep workstations clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout each shift.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation regulations at all times.
• Assist with menu development by contributing creative ideas for seasonal vegetable and side dishes.
• Support colleagues as needed to maintain a smooth kitchen operation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Entremetier, Line Cook, or in a similar kitchen role within a restaurant.
• Strong understanding of vegetable preparation, soup production, and egg cookery techniques.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high culinary standards.
• Excellent knife skills and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional kitchen team.
• Culinary training or a professional cookery certification is an advantage.
• Positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to delivering quality dishes consistently.
