A thriving and fast-paced bar is looking for an experienced Director of Purchasing to lead procurement operations and ensure the smooth supply of beverages, ingredients, equipment, and essential inventory. This role is ideal for a strategic professional who enjoys negotiating with suppliers, managing costs, and maintaining high standards of quality while supporting business growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with business goals.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
• Maintain strong relationships with beverage distributors and service providers.
• Analyze purchasing trends, costs, and market conditions to identify savings opportunities.
• Oversee procurement budgets and control purchasing expenses.
• Ensure all purchased products meet quality and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with bar operations, finance, and management teams to forecast supply needs.
• Prepare procurement reports and present recommendations to senior management.
• Manage and mentor purchasing and inventory personnel.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain management, or a related leadership role.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of inventory control and procurement processes.
• Ability to analyze financial data and make cost-effective purchasing decisions.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Experience within the hospitality, food and beverage, or bar industry is highly desirable.
