Do you have a passion for coffee and an eye for detail? We are looking for a skilled Coffee Roaster to join our growing coffee shop team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to craft exceptional coffee experiences, ensuring every batch meets the highest standards of quality and consistency.

Responsibilities

• Roast coffee beans according to established roast profiles and quality standards.
• Monitor roasting processes and make adjustments to achieve desired flavor characteristics.
• Evaluate roasted coffee through cupping and quality control procedures.
• Maintain accurate roasting records, inventory levels, and production schedules.
• Source feedback from management and café teams to continuously improve product quality.
• Ensure roasting equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and operated safely.
• Package and label roasted coffee for retail and wholesale distribution.
• Assist with green coffee receiving, storage, and stock management.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Coffee Roaster or in a coffee production environment is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of coffee roasting principles, bean origins, and flavor development.
• Familiarity with roasting equipment and quality control processes.
• Ability to distinguish flavor profiles and identify roast defects.
• Good record-keeping and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and move coffee bags and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Passion for specialty coffee and continuous learning within the coffee industry.
