Key Responsibilities

• Roast coffee beans according to established roast profiles and quality standards.
• Monitor roasting equipment and adjust roasting parameters for optimal results.
• Evaluate roasted coffee through cupping and quality control procedures.
• Maintain accurate roasting logs and production records.
• Sort, package, and label roasted coffee for retail and café use.
• Inspect green coffee beans before roasting to ensure quality.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of roasting equipment.
• Monitor inventory of green beans, packaging materials, and roasting supplies.
• Collaborate with the café team to meet production schedules and customer demand.
• Follow food safety, cleanliness, and workplace safety standards at all times.

Qualifications

• Diploma, certificate, or vocational training in coffee, food science, culinary arts, or a related field is an advantage.
• Previous experience as a Coffee Roaster or in coffee production is preferred.
• Knowledge of coffee roasting techniques, roast profiling, and bean characteristics.
• Familiarity with roasting equipment and quality control practices.
• Strong sensory evaluation skills and attention to detail.
• Good record-keeping and organizational abilities.
• Ability to lift and move bags of coffee beans safely.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for specialty coffee and continuous learning.
